Adults in the UK are increasingly taking steps to get their families and children covered by health insurance.

One of the reasons for the increase in popularity of family medical insurance is the number of recent illness outbreaks there have been. These include the swine flu pandemic and cases of E.Coli. Some insurers have reported increases of up to a third in health insurance policies for children. Many parents are concerned that if their child becomes ill, the wait for NHS treatment will be too long.
