Anatomy – an Academic Discipline in High School and College

Being connected with biology and medicine in some sense, anatomy is a study of living organisms. Generally when a person thinks of anatomy, he/she pictures a human body. This is not always correct. Pretty often anatomy includes plant anatomy, animal anatomy, embryology, comparative anatomy and many others. Dealing with the study of anatomy, a person has to take into account the following factors:

1. Human anatomy is considered to be more important than other types of anatomy. In most cases the term anatomy deals with the structure of human organism and its organs functioning with each other. Having broad knowledge in anatomy as a science a person can go for medicine or biology. It is always easy to deal with the subjects that are related to one another.
2. Human organs' structure is pretty complex. Having analyzed most of its typical features, a person is able to understand the cause of his/her illness. Medical doctors admire and adore anatomy since it is the basis of their major.
3. While attending a medical school or a university a person is forced to deal with great many autopsies that he/she is to carry out. Most of the autopsies are being made on animals. Experiencing a feeling of fear, while seeing blood, would not allow a person to make a great doctor in the future. Though not all the doctors are surgeons, they all have to bear certain tolerance dealing with an injured patient.
4. Dealing with pharmacy is another issue. An anatomist is to be able to discern one sort of drug from another one. Undergoing a great pain would actually make a person to ask for any sort of anesthesia. Certain types of it are able to destroy a human organism. This is an issue to keep an eye on.
